Before leaving Crab Cay, we noted the stand of coconut palms so went ashore to re-stock and to de-husk a few and left with a total of eight nuts. Winds were SW 10-15 so we sailed to Allens-Pensacola and delicately entered the shallow anchorage and having full choice of spots as we were the only boat present. Phil and Michelle (Desperado II) had told us about the signing tree here so while en route, Harry was busied preparing Juno’s contribution. A modest walk ashore through dense foliage (more deciduous like) in which we got a bit lost, led us to the signing tree and the to the most beautiful beach (I know, there have been a few others, but this one was quintessentially Bahamian - out of a tour guide -and we had it all to ourselves!). The water was gin clear with nothing but sand on the bottom. This was one of the few times times we were all alone on an island and beach. We took full advantage of the situation and went skinny dipping and enjoyed birthday suit sun bathing, and enjoyed every moment. Upon returning to Juno on the other side of the island however, several other boats had arrived for the evening, making us glad we’d seized our clothing optional foray when we did. Dinner was mutton snapper (yum) and spinach salad both picked up from Green Turtle Cay, and afterwards, Harry set to work making another batch of coconut cream from our morning’s harvest.
