The cold front arrived last night at midnight, just as planned, when the winds picked up blowing 25 knots out of the north and northeast by dawn. Under the protection of Big Majors Cay, it was pretty calm so we slept comfortably. But with no drop in velocity in the forecast and under cloudy skies all day, we hunkered down below decks. It provided a needed change in routine and the time to focus on updating our blog (nearly a month to catch up on). We are finding it hard to keep motivated to continue the blog as it takes a fair amount of time usually at the end of the day when we are busy focusing on weather and potential itineraries for the near future. Howevert we made great progress today with Sarah working up the text while Harry adds the photos and the track and we hope the progress made today will help motivate us to keep it current. Cell signal is also a critical component for working on the blog and while we now are adjacent to what is considered the hub of the central portion of the Exumas with an airport and good cell signal, at times it was hard as so many others are nearby competing for the limited band width so the internet wasn’t working as well as we are used to.
Sarah used the down time onboard to churn out some extra treats from the galley which we will both enjoy in the coming days.
