Early Wake-Up and Next Landfall: Frazer's Hog Cay and Bird Cay in the Berrys - Tues. March 1st

As forecast, the NW winds came in at about 12 knots making it impossible to sleep on the banks where there is absolutely no protection from the wind or waves. We felt lucky as we got a few extra hours of sleep since the forecast had been for the winds to arrive around midnight. Anyway, we got up and made some oatmeal and then started sailing east in the pitch darkness around 4:30 am. The glow of lights from passing cruise ships to the north could be seen but otherwise, there wasn't much else we saw.  But by daybreak, we approached the group of islands called the Berries, dropping anchor off the east side of Frazer's Hog Cay and adjacent to a huge sand bar for lunch and a swim. With a forecast for winds to be NE overnight, we moved Juno to Bird Cay for the night in the company of three other boats.
